We're excited to celebrate 20 years of People + Programs + Success!
Check out our 20th Anniversary highlight video!
Wow, it’s hard to believe that 20 years ago this week, the Urban Reach Institute for Student Enterprises, now known simply as ‘URISE’ was officially launched.
All month, I’ve been reminiscing and reflecting on what has been the best part of the journey with all its highs and lows and ups and downs. I realized it’s been the many people I’ve met along the way — the people who understood the dream and supported this dreamer.
From the volunteers who tirelessly give their time, the committed board members, our invaluable program partners, generous funders, and our dedicated staff — and the heart and soul of URISE, the students and their parents — you are all an important part of this incredible story and amazing journey.
As the year winds down and I give thanks for all my blessings, I will also give thanks to each one of you. Your belief in the mission of URISE to engage, educate and empower youth and young adults to dream big, do great things, and make a difference in this world is as important and compelling a mission as ever.
Over the next year, we will be more intentional about sharing the impact and success of our alumni who have started businesses, gone to college, landed jobs and even those still working to find their way and make their mark on this world.
Thanks for joining me on this crazy ride. Join us as we embark on the next chapter of this incredible journey. Buckle up! We are moving onward and upward, and the best is yet to come!
To continue supporting our mission of educating and empowering minority youth and young adults, we invite you to donate $24 to support our mission of educating and empowering minority youth and young adults. Your generosity will play an important role in shaping the dreams and aspirations of those we serve.
Peace and Blessings,
Alice Margie Turner, M.Ed.
