We're excited to celebrate 21 years of People + Programs + Success in 2024!
Check out our 21st Anniversary highlight video!
Wow, it’s hard to believe that over 22 years ago on November 20 to be exact, the Urban Reach Institute for Student Enterprises, now known simply as ‘URISE’ was officially launched.
I’ve been reminiscing and reflecting on the journey with all its highs and lows and ups and downs. I’ve been many places and met many people along the way who understood the dream and support this dreamer.
From volunteers and board members who give their time, to our invaluable program partners, generous funders, and our team members — you are all an important part of this incredible story and amazing journey.
URISE was born in November, a season of Thanksgiving -- a time when we slow down and give thanks for our blessings. Every day, I give thanks to our supporters, staff, students and volunteers. Your belief in the mission of URISE to engage, educate and empower youth and young adults to dream big, do great things, and make a difference in this world is as important and compelling a mission as ever.
Over the next year, we will share the impact and success of our alumni who have started businesses, gone to college, landed jobs and even those still working to find their way and make their mark on this world. We will also launch our social enterprise, Omni Print Plus.
Join us as we embark on the next chapter of this incredible journey. Buckle up: The best is yet to come!
To continue supporting our mission of educating and empowering minority youth and young adults, we invite you to donate $254 to our Founders' Fund and support our mission of educating and empowering minority youth and young adults. Your generosity will play an important role in shaping the dreams and aspirations of thee deserving youth we serve every day.
Peace and Blessings,
Alice Margie Turner, M.Ed.
